Dr. James L. Baker, Jr. is passionate about both art and medicine. So, it only makes sense that he chose aesthetic plastic surgery—since it is the only specialty that combined both of his passions.

Dr. Baker has spent 38 years devoted to learning about the latest products and surgical techniques so that he can offer his patients the best. His staff has been with him for as long 27 years and he currently has both of his daughters working in his practice.

Dr. Baker’s credentials form an impressive list. Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1973, Dr. Baker is a traveling professor for, and a past president of, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). He is a Professor of Surgery, VF in the College of Medicine at the University of Central Florida (UCF) and a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of South Florida, Tampa (USF) as well as the Immediate Past Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery for the Florida Hospital System. He has been in private practice since 1971, has appeared on Donahue, Oprah and ABC’s 20/20, and has also been named one of the best in his field in such publications as Town and Country, Harper’s Bazaar, Mirabella, Self and, of course, Orlando magazine. He is also named in The Best Doctors in America and in America’s Top Doctors as well as having been named Best Plastic Surgeon by the readers of Orlando Magazine.

Dr. Baker’s practice is limited to cosmetic surgery. He performs the following surgeries: breast augmentation, facelifts, eyelid surgery, brow lifts, liposuction/body contouring, prominent ear correction, abdominoplasty, rhinoplasty, chin implants and laser skin resurfacing. Dr. Baker is a board certified plastic surgeon and performs all of these procedures for you. In his spare time, Dr. Baker enjoys traveling with Wiesje, his wife of 46 years, playing golf and spending time with his two young grandchildren, Jack and Molly.
