Kyle Balch MD a board certified Ophthalmologist and certified Oculoplastic surgeon offers patients the latest advancements in eye and cosmetic facial surgery.

A native Floridian, Dr. Balch is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the UF College of Medicine. He completed one year internal medicine at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville and residency training at Emory University Department of Ophthalmology. In addition, he was fellowship trained in Orbital and Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Jules Stein Eye Institute/UCLA and Beverly Hills, California.

Dr. Balch is also trained in the latest advancements in cataract surgery. Thousands of patients in the central Florida area have come to Lange Eye Care and Associates to see Dr. Balch for the no needle, no stitch cataract procedures he performs.

Dr. Balch is now offering his patients one of the latest advancements in cataract and refractive surgery called the Alcon AcrySof® ReSTOR® IOL. To learn more about this procedure click here or contact your eye care professionals at Lange Eye Care and Associates by e-mail or by phone.
In this highly specialized field, Dr. Balch is one of a handful of Fellowship-trained Oculoplastic surgeons in Florida. In Fact, fewer than 30 surgeons complete such training in the U.S. each year. He brings a new dimension to Lange Eye Care by offering the latest advancements in surgical eye care.

Perhaps the most exciting advantage Dr. Balch brings to Lange Eye Care is a wide variety of facial reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. Using the most advanced surgical and laser techniques, specialized treatments include laser eyelid surgery, laser skin resurfacing, skin cancer removal, and the latest in forehead, eyebrow, and face lifting. He also specializes in non-surgical cosmetic procedures such as botox, collagen, chemical peel and the prescribing of skin care products.

"There are many functional aspects of Oculoplastic surgery beyond the cosmetic," says Dr. Balch. "Drooping eyelids, for example, can often be covered by insurance and Medicare. Corrective surgery may be fully covered by insurance if certain criteria are met, and we can determine this by simple in-office testing."

Dr. Balch shares Dr. Lange's patient-centered philosophy and is thrilled to be affiliated with his practice.

"The focus on each individual patient is especially refreshing," Dr. Balch observes, "The staff does an excellent job of screening each patient and carefully evaluating treatment options. This gives me the freedom to do my job to the best of my ability."

With the continued growth of services and his tireless dedication to educating the community about eye care and well being as a whole, Dr. Lange continues to oversee explosive growth throughout Florida. The addition of Dr. Balch and the new Lange Eye Institute in the Villages are simply the next logical steps in the process.
